When difficult experiences
continue to affect how you feel about yourself

Difficult experiences can shape the way we see ourselves, relate to others and respond to the world around us. Therapy can help you understand these patterns, develop new ways of responding and build a more compassionate relationship with yourself.

Perhaps you find yourself constantly questioning whether you're good enough, putting enormous pressure on yourself, struggling to trust others, or feeling caught in patterns that you understand intellectually but can't seem to change.

Sometimes these difficulties can be connected to experiences from earlier in life, difficult relationships, rejection, criticism, loss or trauma. Even when those experiences are in the past, the beliefs and ways of coping that developed around them can continue to affect how we relate to ourselves and others.

Therapy can provide a space to understand these patterns, develop new ways of responding and begin to relate to yourself with greater compassion.

You won’t be pushed into anything - we’ll go at a pace that feels manageable.

Do you recognise yourself in any of these?

• You often feel like you're not good enough, no matter what you achieve
• You can be very self-critical or hard on yourself
• You struggle with shame, guilt or feeling responsible for other people's feelings
• You notice recurring patterns in your relationships or the way you respond to situations
• You understand where some of these patterns come from, but still find them difficult to change
• Past experiences continue to affect how you see yourself or relate to others

An Integrative Approach

I'm Katie Moger, a BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and Internal Family Systems Level 1 trained therapist. My approach combines evidence-based CBT and IFS-informed therapy, adapting the way we work to your individual needs.

CBT can help us understand the thoughts, behaviours and patterns that maintain difficulties in the present. IFS-informed work can offer another way of understanding the different parts of ourselves that have developed in response to difficult experiences. Together, these approaches can help you develop greater self-understanding while making meaningful changes in your life..

I can help with:

Low self-esteem & self-worth
Feeling not good enough, harsh self-criticism, shame, perfectionism and struggling to recognise your own strengths.

Trauma-related difficulties
The ongoing emotional impact of difficult or traumatic experiences, including difficulties with safety, trust, relationships, self-blame or feeling stuck in patterns that developed as ways of coping.

Anxiety & overthinking
Worry, rumination, uncertainty, avoidance and feeling caught in cycles that are difficult to switch off.

OCD
Intrusive thoughts, reassurance seeking, checking, rumination, compulsions and the feeling of being trapped in cycles of doubt and uncertainty.

Low mood & emotional difficulties
Feeling stuck, withdrawn, overwhelmed or disconnected from the things that previously mattered to you.
